Reflection: Gleam and Glow
We have completed the story Gleam and Glow by Eve Bunting. This reflection will be graded. Please answer the following.
*What do YOU think is the most important event in the story and tell why you think that event is important.
Here is an example: I think it was important that when the family came back, that they found that Gleam and Glow had not only survived but had babies as well. I think it's important because it shows that you can survive and have hope even when bad things are happening around you like the war was for the family.

What's Your Favorite Book
I thought it would be a good idea to set a bookshelf with books that we recommend others to read. I started it off by recommending one of my favorite books...
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the final story in the Harry Potter Series. It is about Harry's struggle to find all the horcruxes so that he can defeat Voldermort. This is a great book because there is so much action that you don't want to put the book down. This book finally answers all the questions you've had through the other 6 books. The author does a great job bringing you in so that you feel like you are right beside Harry the entire way. If you like books with lots of action, then this book is for you.
Leave a comment on a book you would recommend other kids to read. When you write your comment please include the following:
1. Title of the book
2. Quick sentence/sentences that tell what the story is about
3. Tell why it is a good book to read. (Why did you like it so much you think others should
read this book)
I will take your book recommendations and add them onto our bookshelf.

Comment on Commenting
Yesterday, Wednesday, we discussed how to write comments on a blog. We read about the 10 commandments of commenting and made our own list that is now posted at the bottom of our blog.
Write a comment about what you think is important to remember when you are commenting on a blog and tell why it is important.
