my big idea from the story is the word disappointed for example when the men where shooting from the cliffs to the boat they tore orbroke the sail and the people on the boat ad to gie their cloths to make a sail for the boat that as the only cloths that they brought no i dont mean their cloths on thier backs their extra pair of cloth i would have been feeling theame way that they did written by emily
Well what i think about the book How many days to America is that i thought it was sad when they had to leave it reall reminded me of when i had to leave to onther state along time ago it was really sad!! another thing i had to say is when the father said to give all of the Jewerly and grants to him from the mother. but it got happy at the end when they got to America safe! that is what i think about How many days to America Sincerly,Jasmine

I think the main Idea (of How many days to America)is when they arrived at America because the book is suppose to be a Thanksgiving story and when they arrived at America it was Thanksgiving

There was sadness in the beinning when the mother had to leave the chair she nursed her children in and she left her quilt that her mother made by hand.There was possible sadness when the people were sick and sadness when the men on the hill shot at them.Sadness here sadness there sadness sadness everywere in the story.Well, this is all i could remember so bye! Hi my name is Brandie and I think the big idea is independes beaks the family whanted to seat a goal buy being independes becaues the soliders might have whant them to be slaves and they did not whant to be slaves so they whant to be independes buy going to America to not be slaves but to be as independed as much as poseamble.

Hi I'm here to give a couple of comments about the story. Well I've got a funny conection with the title, Coming to America 'cause I saw a movie called, Coming to America, but it was different story. It had a lot of hope, fear, sadness, happiness, survival, and exciting things in the book. In a part in the story were soldiers were shotting at them and they were in the boat and in that there was hope, fear, and survival. When they were by the shore that showed excitment, happiness, and sadness because they had to live all there stuff. That is all.

I think that the big idea is about fear because, one is when they were scared when the solider was going to find the little sister and bother.And the other one is when the the sodlider was shotting.

IN "How Many Days To America". there was a little family that live in a home. One day a family was at home and then all of a suton soldiers came in there house and so there mother took the boy and the little up to the room and hid them under the bed while the soldiers wrere in their house.Then when the soldiers left the family got all their things that they needed and then they left to leave the town home and then when they where in line to get on the boat the boy and the girl where talking about what was going to happen to them and where were they were going. And when they where about to leave they had to pay jeweil to get on the boat so they had to give it to leave home.when they left for a while they where runing out of food and people where geti ng sick.Then all of a sudden robers came and took all of their things and left then the where cols and so the men sawm over and the mother try to stop them and then the soldiers gave them food and the a few days later the had made it and the had thanksgiving dinner.By.
